Writing Week 7

The Three Little Pigs With A Twist

Once upon a time there were three pigs called John Bob and Rob. Rob was the only clever one the other two were really dumb. So one day the pigs parents told the three kids to build three houses. Bob made his out of straw, John made his out of sticks and Rob made his out of concrete. The next day a wolf was wondering through the village when he saw the pigs and he rushed over to the pig's houses and said come out of your houses so I can meet you. But the pigs refused to go outside because they knew that he was the wolf. So he huffed and puffed and blew the house with sticks down but John ran away as soon as possible. Rob knew that the wolf was here because he heard his brother run away and he knew that bob was next. So he quickly made a concrete sword which took a long time. Rob was half way from finishing the sword when he heard Bob scream “AHHHHH.”  Since Bob was fat he couldn’t run so the wolf ate him up.So he knew that he needed to hurry up so he walked outside and the wolf was like what on earth is that pig doing so he rushed to the pig to try and eat him up but the pig took a lash at the wolf and Rob knocked the wolf out. The pig police took the wolf to jail and there was nothing left the Rob to be scraed about except for his brothers to haunt him forever. Rob thought to himself i’m so sad what can I od to make it better. Maybe i should join them and commit suicide. So thats what Rob did and they were all reunited together and they lived happily ever after.

Rippa Rugby Blog Post

On Tuesday we had a Rippa Rugby tournament and our team was called Parkvale Thunder. I scored lots of tries but I cant remember how many rips I got. We played around ten matches and I think we won about 6 or 7 games because the schools we played were really good. We got in to the next pool but we didn't do very well in the next pool. The reason why is because we got all tired and then we couldn't score many tries or rip any rips. So then we just kept getting thrashed :(

Maori Hand Games

Maori Hand Games

On Thursday I went to Maori hand games and I learnt how to play Koruru (knuckle bones). I also learnt how to play E hipitoitoi and Hei tama tu tama. I found E hipitoitoi and Hei tama tu tama challenging because those two games are new to me. The game Whai (string) is a game that you use string with to make different kinds of things with. That was my favourite game to play. I learnt a lot from the Maori hand games.

Thank You Letter HBHS

Thank You,

We really appreciate you for coming to our school (Parkvale Primary) and performing the Pasifika and Kapa Haka. I really enjoyed the Kapa Haka because I liked the Haka and I really enjoyed the Pasifika because of all the dances and the chants. It was so cool because you showed passion for what you were doing. It taught me a bit about what you do at your school. Also a bit about the Maori culture. It was really really fun to watch,I was like WOW when you came in and the really loud music started to play. Once again we really appreciate your time here.

Thank you Hastings Boys High School.

Lost in the bush

Lost in the bush

One day there was a camp going on. My name is Jake and my friends are Jack and Jessy i’ve got way more friends. They are just my best friends. We were all so excited about camp that I was getting nervous that our camp group might be silly on camp and might get lost. Anyway the camp was in 6 weeks so I should probably save my nerves until the big day.

6 weeks later…

The big day arrived we had to be there really early and then waited an hour until we were on the van ready to go. Maybe I was excited in the inside but on the outside I was totally terrified. Anyway on the van we went and I said to myself “no turning back now maybe I should’ve stayed at home”. But my friends Jessy and Jack were so excited.

At the camp we were, I had to go to the toilet and the camp group nearly went off without me until I caught up with them. The next day we went on a track and my friends and I nearly slipped off the track and held onto a branch and then the branch broke and we all screamed “AAAAAAAA RRRRRRRR” and we fell onto a piece of rocky dirt, I nearly broke my spine and so did my friends. We just lay there until finally we were fine. So we tried to follow from where we fell and we ended up running into a restricted area where bombs were tested and we were like uh oh worried and then boosh went a bomb. Luckily the bomb missed us but as more went off it seemed like that the bombs where they are tested were following us boosh…

“Jack!!!!!!” Screamed me and Jessy running as fast we could go. All of a sudden a silent bomb went off and blew up Jessy’s foot. Now Jessy had to hop AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR  JESSY!!!!! Jessy just got blown up because a bomb hit his heart and blew up R.I.P Jessy and Jack.
Although I was the only one who didn’t die. I still made it,  really do not know how I survived but I couldn’t find my camp, but I did see a van and I thought it must be the van. But I got it all wrong there was only one man in the car and he had a pistol in his hand. UH OH I thought to myself i'm going to die.

I had a plan to jump out of the van and try to find our camp van instead of this. So I did just that and guess what it worked!! I found our camp van and all went back home and now i’m never going on camp ever again.

Interdependence Post

On Monday the class did an interdependence activity. The activity was creating an art piece and writing our own rap or song about the school holidays. We made a whole list of what are group did in the school holidays and we put our favourite thing that we did. We then showed to the class what we had done. I didn't really like the song because the people who sang it had no tune to the song and they could've made it better if they were more enthusiastic.

Hyde Park

As soon as I walk through the gate, I can see the tall, green trees blend in with the lovely, green grass. I see a pond with lovely ducks eating bread and seeds given by people. I can also see the playgrounds massive pirate ship, covered in people climbing all over it. As I walk  further I can see the shard and the london eye just above the trees.  In the hot, beaming sun I can see the crystal clear water going round, I can also see the people walk around the pond. As I walk in the water I can feel the water run in between my toes at the memorial fountain . I can smell dogs chasing squirrels in the park. I can hear the the dogs barking at each other.

My Waka Piece

The England flag and the New Zealand flag represents coming from England to New Zealand. The London Eye represents England and the Koru represents New Zealand. The leaves on the tree represents my family with all their favourite colours and the people represent the same thing.
